No doubt you know about the "fashion" craze that is Tebowing. One of our favourite athletes here at The Fantasy Dudes, who we have revered from the very beginning, Tim Tebow (Denver Broncos) is somewhat of a phenomenon for his popularity and his recent success on the NFL field.
In fact, he has been getting enough attention for the crazy Taiwanese animators at Next Media Animation to immortalise him in animated form. Check out the video!
Following on from our previous article 'NBA All-Star Threads', we now bring you the second installment, where we take a look at some fancy get-ups of your NBA All-Star reserves:
Rajon Rondo: Tiger Woods??? Really??? Here's hoping you don't go down the same path as him...
Ray Allen: He got game... even on the baseball field. What can't he do?
Paul Pierce: Huh??? I guess when you have a championship ring you can wear whatever you like!
Kevin Garnett: Fantasy basketball team flunking? Why not arrange for a trade with your fantasy football team?
Al Horford: Gucci shoes and a cardigan... you stay classy San Diego!
Joe Johnson: Gives new meaning to business-casual. Business shirt and tie with jeans and leather jacket.
Chris Bosh: No wonder you left Toronto... You needed more cowbell!!!
Deron Williams: Who you gonna call? Not Jerry Sloan. Deron trying out for Dodgeball 2 auditions.
Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love: A couple of dudes who work in the accounting department. How about giving them a run in our lunch-time office basketball team?
Manu Ginobili: An old fashioned showdown... in the living room??? I guess they do things a little differently in Argentina!
Dirk Nowitzki: I'm sure Mark Cuban has a picture of this on his bedside table.
Pau Gasol: It doesn't get much better than this does it mate? Now throw a shrimp on the barbe!
Tim Duncan: Lets face it. This is the best we'll get from the Big Fundamental. A plain boring picture of him in his all-star uniform.
Blake Griffin: What??? The Clippers??? This has to be a joke.
In our latest edition of 'Fantasy Threads', we take a look at those players recently named as starters for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. Let's meet the teams:
Point Guard - Derrick Rose: Was this picture taken directly from a Lacoste photo shoot?
Shooting Guard - Dwayne Wade: Michael Jackson or Eddie Murphy - you decide!
Small Forward - LeBron James: Hammer time for the 'chosen one'...
Power Forward - Amare Stoudemire: What? This is my best 'Blue Steel' look...
Center - Dwight Howard: Did someone call for Clark Kent?
Point Guard - Chris Paul: I'm not really sure where to put my hands, but how does this look?
Shooting Guard - Kobe Bryant: Everyone wants to be like Mike... he sits just one ring behind him.
Small Forward - Carmelo Anthony: Melo is the master of wearing the cardigan. So much so that a whole article was devoted to it.
Power Forward - Kevin Durant: The Steve Urkell?
Center - Yao Ming: Circumspect, reflecting. This is the Yao Ming that few know... or understand.
Stay tuned for the NBA All-Star Reserves fashion stakes, when they are named by the league's coaches. Speaking of coaches... how I wish that a certain Mr Stan Van Gundy was coaching to show off his fashion nous.
Okay, so you have your fantasy basketball team, and each day you check out how stylish they are on the court, but do you know if they are stylish off the court as well? Is there a correlation between how one is dressed outside of basketball and their actual statistical performances? Let us know who you think would make your starting 5...
